You Were Made for AND
Have you ever felt like no matter what you choose, something important gets left behind?
Maybe you want to grow your business, but you also want to be present with your family.
Maybe you want a strong marriage, but between work, educating, serving, activities, meals, and responsibilities, – there never seems to be enough time.
Maybe you want to take care of your health, deepen your faith, enjoy your life, invest in your children, and build meaningful relationships—but it feels like everything is competing for your attention.
Many women feel like they have to choose.
Family or business.
Marriage or personal goals.
Productivity or connection.
Success or enjoyment.
For years, I have watched people struggle under the weight of these either-or choices. They feel guilty when they focus on work. They feel frustrated when they put their dreams on hold. They feel overwhelmed trying to keep everything moving forward at once.
But what if the problem isn’t that you’re trying to do too much?
What if the problem is that you’ve been told you have to choose?
You Were Made for AND
I believe you were made for AND.
Not necessarily all at once.
Not perfectly.
Not without seasons of adjustment.
But I believe it is possible to build a strong marriage AND meaningful family relationships.
To pursue important goals AND stay connected to the people you love.
To care for others AND care for yourself.
To create a life that reflects your values instead of constantly feeling pulled between competing priorities.
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is intentionality.
The Drift Is Real
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the years as a counselor, coach, wife, mother, and business owner is that we don’t naturally drift toward the life we want.
We drift toward busy.
We drift toward urgent.
We drift toward whatever is demanding our attention today.
Without intention, months turn into years. We find ourselves wondering why we feel disconnected from our spouse, distant from our children, exhausted, or frustrated that important goals never seem to move forward.
The problem is rarely a lack of love.
The problem is often a lack of intentional investment.
Small Shifts Matter
The good news is that meaningful change does not always require massive action.
A five-minute conversation can strengthen a relationship.
A thoughtful question can prevent an argument.
A family meeting can improve communication.
A small adjustment repeated consistently can completely change the direction of a marriage, family, or life.
Big results often begin with small intentional steps.
Start With Awareness
Before you can build the life you want, it helps to know where you are today.
What is going well?
What needs attention?
Where do you feel connected?
Where do you feel stretched thin?
What matters most in this season?
Awareness creates clarity.
Clarity creates direction.
Direction creates progress.
Your Next Step
If you’re tired of feeling pulled in different directions and want a clearer picture of where you are and where you want to go, start by taking the EnjoyLife Assessment.
It’s designed to help you evaluate key areas of your marriage, family, and life so you can identify one meaningful next step.
Because lasting change doesn’t begin with doing everything.
It begins with understanding where you are and intentionally moving toward where you want to be.
You were made for AND.
And one small step today can change more than you think.
With love & blessings,
Sadie
